A Year on Light Duties!

The Quigley's year always starts rather than ends at Christmas.  For the last several years we have all gathered in Luxembourg at the home of Danielle, Laurent & India. 2008 was no different. As usual Danielle & Laurent produced some of the best food and wine in the world - It never is simply roast turkey & Christmas pud!!  We started full but then had a year of light duties because of health problems.

It has become a family tradition that we always start Christmas by going to midnight mass where ever we are in the world. We've only missed once - that was in Vieques a small island off Puerto Rico when we found the church closed at midnight!  Many churches the world over have become "consumer friendly" and have midnight mass earlier in the evening.

In Luxembourg, however, the cathedral still holds a multi lingual mass so we always aim to attend.
